The nearest major railway station is Kalka Railway Station (KLK), approximately 270 km from Kalpa. Kalka is well-connected to major Indian cities. From Kalka, you can take the Kalka-Shimla toy train to Shimla and then proceed by road, or hire a taxi directly.
By road
Kalpa is well-connected by road, though the journey involves winding mountain roads. HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) buses operate regularly from Shimla, Reckong Peo, and other major towns. Private taxis and shared cabs are also readily available from Shimla and Kalka.
